FAQs About Energy Fitness
Is 30 minutes twice a week strength training really enough?
Yes—when it’s intentional, customized, and coached.
Most people don’t need longer workouts… they need a plan that makes sense and they can actually stick with. Our clients train in 30-minute semi-private sessions, 2x per week, and we focus on strength, mobility, and corrective exercises that build real progress without wrecking your schedule. Every 6 weeks or 12 weeks your selection of exercises in your programs change forcing your body to adapt and press forward towards your goals.
We offer both ONSITE & ZOOM PERSONAL TRAINING
The goal is simple: less medicine, more mobility—and a body that can keep up with life.
I have pain, stiffness, or past injuries—can I still train?
Absolutely. We begin by learning about your goals, movement patterns, and physical limitations. Your training is customized to work with your body, not against it. We modify exercises as needed and adjust your program as you progress. While we’re not a substitute for medical care or rehabilitation, we can help you build strength and improve how you move within your abilities.
What makes Energy Fitness different from a traditional gym or other personal training studios?
Most gyms give you access. Many trainers give you workouts.
We give you coaching + correction + a customized plan.
Every client starts with a movement assessment so we understand what your body needs. From there, we build a program that typically includes 4–12 exercises, based on your fitness level, goals, and what you can safely get through in a session.
This is training with intention—not random exercises and crossed fingers.
What does semi-private personal training mean?
You’ll train alongside 1-3 other clients, but your workout is your own. Each person follows an individualized program based on their assessment, goals, and abilities. You get personalized coaching and accountability in a welcoming, supportive setting.
Do I need to be in shape before I get started?
Not at all. You don’t need to reach a certain fitness level before coming to us. Whether you’re new to exercise, returning after time away, or ready to take your fitness to another level, we’ll meet you where you are and build from there.
How do I get started?
It starts with a complimentary discovery call. We’ll talk about your goals, answer your questions, and determine whether Energy Fitness is the right fit. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your consultation and movement assessment to help guide your training.
What is cupping, and what are the benefits?
Cupping uses specialized cups to create suction and decompress the underlying tissue. This lifting action can help improve the glide and slide between muscles and surrounding fascia, address areas of tissue restriction, and increase local circulation. Cupping may help reduce the sensation of muscle tightness, improve mobility, and temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite by changing the appearance of the treated tissue. The amount of suction and technique used are adjusted to the individual and the areas being addressed.
What is muscle scraping, and how can it help?
Muscle scraping, also known as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, is a form of compression therapy. Much like massage, foam rolling, or using trigger point balls, it applies targeted pressure to the muscles and surrounding soft tissue to address areas of tightness and restriction.
The specialized tool allows your therapist to work more precisely in specific areas, helping improve tissue mobility and the glide and slide between muscles and fascia. It can also be used to pin and stretch a muscle, combining focused compression with movement to address restricted areas.
This technique may help reduce the sensation of tightness, improve mobility, and support more comfortable movement. The pressure and approach are adjusted to your needs and tolerance.
