How Sarah Stetler Is Transforming Greenville / Travelers Rest Clients in 30 Minute twice a week personal training

Meet Sarah Stetler, M.S., CSCS — Personal Trainer at Energy Fitness

Energy Fitness isn’t your average gym — and that’s the whole point. Our Greenville studio is a by-appointment boutique training space built for people who want results without the noise. No crowded floor. No intimidating machines you’re left to figure out alone. No wasted hours. Just efficient, results-driven coaching in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment, with holistic recovery options — massage, Reiki, and recovery modalities — built right into how we help you feel and move better. And because every session is by appointment, you get something most gyms can’t offer: accountability. We know when you’re here, and we notice when you’re not.

At the center of that experience is one of our personal trainer’s Sarah Stetler, M.S., CSCS — a strength & conditioning specialist who doesn’t just count your reps. She wants you to understand exactly why you’re doing them.

Education That Goes Deeper Than a Weekend Certification

Most personal trainers earn a certification over a weekend. Sarah earned hers over years.

She holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University-Chicago and a B.S. in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. On top of that, she carries the two most respected certifications in the industry: the ACSM Certified Personal Trainer credential from the American College of Sports Medicine, and the NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) — the gold-standard credential held by strength coaches at the professional and collegiate level.

Translation: when Sarah coaches you, it’s not only rooted in the same science that trains elite athletes and rehabilitates surgery patients. You’re not getting generic workouts pulled off an app. You’re getting coaching.

Training That Works With Your Body, Not Against It

Here’s what truly shaped how Sarah coaches today: her hands-on years working alongside physical therapists.

She guided clients through prescribed rehab exercises, stretches, and recovery techniques — collaborating directly with PTs to help real people reduce pain, move better, and rebuild strength after injury. That experience is rare in the personal training world, and it’s the reason Sarah is especially skilled at training around injuries rather than avoiding them.

She’ll notice you favoring one hip before you even mention it. She’ll catch the way your shoulders creep up when life gets heavy. She’ll modify a movement on the fly so you build strength where you need it — without poking the bear of an old injury.

She also spent years as an assistant strength coach working with athletes ages 12–18, developing a sharp eye for proper mechanics and building strong foundations before bad habits take root. That same precision is now yours, whether you’re 35 and chasing PRs or 65 and chasing grandkids.

The Athlete’s Mindset — Without the Athlete’s Schedule

Sarah was a collegiate soccer player at the University of Massachusetts. She knows, from the inside out, what it takes to keep showing up — physically and mentally — when motivation runs dry, when life gets loud, when progress feels invisible.

That’s why she doesn’t coach you like a drill sergeant. She coaches you like someone who’s been through it. “I’ll meet you where you are,” Sarah says, “but I’ll also challenge you to move forward.”

That balance — empathy plus expectation — is exactly what produces real, lasting results.

The Energize Method: Why 30 Minutes, Twice a Week, Actually Works

At the heart of every session at our studio is the Energize Method — a training system created by Energy Fitness owner Tonya Tittle over more than 23 years of coaching real clients in real bodies. It’s a proven, efficiency-focused approach that strips away everything that doesn’t serve your results, and doubles down on what does.

What makes Sarah’s coaching especially powerful is how she blends the Energize Method with her own master’s-level education and hands-on rehab experience — adapting each session to work around injuries, movement limitations, and individual goals without ever sacrificing progress.

Twice a week, 30 minutes at a time, Sarah coaches you inside our semi-private training studio — meaning you get her full attention in a small, intentional group, never a packed class. Every session is built around three non-negotiables:

1. Strength that translates to real life. You’ll carry groceries, hike the Swamp Rabbit Trail, travel without back pain, and pick up grandchildren without a second thought.

2. Progressive, science-based programming. No random “workout of the day.” Sarah tracks exactly what you did last session and dials in the right variable — load, reps, range of motion, tempo — so you get measurably stronger without getting broken down.

3. Movement quality over movement quantity. Sarah pays attention to the small things: your form, your positioning, your patterns. Those small adjustments are how we build real strength safely and minimize injury risk — week after week, year after year.

The math is deceptively simple: one hour a week, done right, beats six hours a week done wrong. Every single time. Now, we aren’t saying you don’t need to do some cardio, stretching and eating right on your own when you aren’t with us as every day is a day to be your best.

What It’s Like to Train With Sarah

Your initial consult or assessment can be with Tonya or with Sarah and it starts with a conversation, not a workout. Sarah wants to hear your story along with questions we have to ask you — what’s worked, what hasn’t, what you actually want from your body and your life. After the consult and you decide we are a match then you will do your initial fitness assessment which includes a functional movement screen and other assessment tools to help us get your starting point and which exercises/movement patterns need to live in your program. From there, she will pick one of your programs built on the Energize Method foundation and modify/fine-tune with her expertise based on your goals and any existing injuries.

You’ll train in our Greenville/Travelers Rest area boutique studio in a space that feels more like a coaching session than a gym. A handful of clients (2-3 clients to one trainer), all with their own programs, all getting Sarah’s eyes and cues in real time. Expect clear coaching. Smart progressions. Modifications that make sense for your body and your goals. And when you need it, holistic recovery support — massage, Reiki, and recovery modalities — is right here too.

Outside the studio? Sarah lives what she teaches. You’ll find her strength training, hiking the trails, snow skiing in winter, and out for a good walk whenever the weather allows. For her, movement isn’t just something she coaches — it’s how she lives.

Ready to Feel Stronger, Move Better, and Train With Purpose?

In Sarah’s own words: “If you’re ready to feel stronger, move better, and train with purpose, I’d love to work with you.”

She’s currently accepting new clients for our 30-minute, twice-weekly semi-private personal training sessions at Energy Fitness in Greenville / Travelers Rest, SC. Your strongest, most energized decade is still ahead of you. Come meet the coach who’ll help you build it.
